Just like the HOJI PRO TOUR, the HOJI PU W boasts not only the Dynafit-patented Speed Nose and Master Step inserts, but also a 3-buckle system. The significant difference is in the closure system: The HOJI PU W does not come with the patented HOJI LOCK System, but with what we call the HOJI Single Lock System. That means the strap is not connected to the rear lever and thus must be latched separately to switch to downhill mode. An additional difference is in the materials: The HOJI PU W is approximately 100 g heavier than the HOJI PRO TOUR and has a slightly lower flex of 110. The last width is 103.5mm. The HOJI PU is compatible with the Cramp-in crampons. Either-or is so yesterday. The HOJI PX knows no compromise. On the descent, it holds its own against alpine competitors thanks to its high rigidity and optimum power transfer on the ski. At the same time, the boot enables efficient climbing technique with superb comfort, flexibility, and maximum freedom of movement with a cuff rotation of 55 degrees. This enables a natural, energy-saving walking motion even on very steep terrain. The Speed Nose ensures additional efficiency, agility and maneuverability. With a last width of 103.5mm, the Ultra Lock Strap, and three micro-adjustable buckles, the foot sits ideally positioned to deliver best performance and function precisely on the downhill, even on demanding terrain. The quick and simple switch between uphill and downhill modes is accomplished with just one kick thanks to the patent-pending Hoji Lock System. The ski/walk system’s mechanism is integrated into a cable system along with the buckles and the Ultra Lock Strap. For the switch into downhill mode only the rear lever must be moved. After that, the boot is locked into an 11-degree angle and ready for fun descents. Another advantage is its compatibility with the innovative Cramp-In crampon.
