Cycle Logic Bikes

The Story

Cycle Logic.... hmmm where to begin. It all started in the year 2000 AD. A small 200 sq ft shack, 4 or 5 bike frames some tires, pedals maybe 3 other things. What we lacked in inventory we made up with passion. Fast forward way into the future and here we are, a little bigger, 5,000 sq ft store in Prince George BC and a smaller 1,500 sq. ft store in Quesnel BC, with more than just a few bike frames and a grocery cart worth of bike goodies. The passion remains as strong as ever however, and its one thing we keep in inventory that is not for sale. Cycle Logic is a lifestyle store with offerings in several disciplines. Bikes, Kayaks, Skis, Snowshoes, Car Racks, Outerwear and everything in between. Bikes- from your first sweet Real Kid bike, Cross Country bikes, All Mountain bikes, Free Ride bikes, Down Hill bikes, Cycle Cross bikes, Road bikes, Time Trail bikes, Touring bikes, Commuter bikes, BMX bikes and Electric bikes (some pretty cool ones), lots of bikes, priced from $140 - $20,000. Kayaks- Poly boats for playing to Carbon Fiber boats for racing/touring, priced from $550 - $4,000. Skis- Classic Cross Country, Skate, Nordic Back Country, Alpine Touring, Alpine Down Hill, packages priced from $289 - $3,000. Car Racks from Thule and Yakima, can't really get too excited about that, but you have to get to where you have to get to and Thule and Yakima help you get your gear there too. Snowshoes, Super high tech outerwear blah blah blah blah and everything in between to go with all of that. So that is our story, what we sell and kind of who we are, we sell it, we live it, and we love it. Cheers from, Cycle Logic.

The Staff

Sullivan: The original kid. 2001- he strolled up to the second location we had moved into after we expanded into a new (almost real shop) location. I remember oh so clearly, here is this 14 year old red head snot nosed kid, kind of geeky, talking bikes. Seemed to know what he was talking about and mentioned he could build wheels. I didn't believe it so I passed him a rim and some spokes and said " Here build this!" Well he built it and it was a pizza cutter, I offered him a job, sold the wheel and didn't pay him for building it, no hard feelings though he has been here ever since and is our head tech, and a credible racer, his greatest claim to fame is taking down Tinker Juarez- Team Cannondale at the 2008 BC bike race while riding in the Cycle Logic team on his Cannondale Scalpel with Quesnel store manager John Courtney. He rides fast Cross Country, lives to race and ride and ride and race, skis Alpine Down Hill and is a pretty sucky skate skier.

Sean: Sean has been with Cycle Logic since 2006. Originally from Smithers and a bike courier in Vancouver. Sean came into the store in PG, smelling of Vancouver, rocking a Chrome messenger bag and a sawed in half macked out Salsa bike (courtesy of a dirt bag bike thief), the adventure started there and he has continued to call Cycle Logic home ever since. Sales and Service, it is so good I wish I was a customer, Sean qualifies and insures our clientele making sure the right stuff is bought the first time, and that's a satisfaction guarantee you can bank on.

Aaron: Part time all the time, comes and goes, a fixture at Cycle Logic, I kind of think he sticks around for the staff deals, endlessly tricking out his stable of bikes. Showed up in 2004, is now fully brain washed and follow the Cycle Logic vision, plus I can get him to do the dirty work.

Honey: The “Elusive Bike Shop Girl” and graduate student in her real life, Honey has been riding downhill since 2004 and working with Cycle Logic since May 2007. With her dog, Max, in tow she often rolls into Cycle Logic to help out with sales and “test-out” cyclecross bikes on the sales floor. Honey just purchased her first cross bike and is looking forward to doing a long-distance tour soon.--- Well she wrote that, I just have to comment that she is more than "Elusive". Honey if you read this come into work!! DL

David: Well that's me, the "El Honcho", el presidente and the janitor. Yes I do it all, Sales, Service, Tech, etc. I am the guy paying all the bills, or at least trying too. If you ever want to make a million dollars in the bike industry start with 2. You have to love it. Yup.

John: Picture granola, long unruly curly hair, a beard to match and a truck that runs on vegetable fryer grease. Yes John is the ultimate hippie, can you imagine a guy who would sulk around the alleys of whatever city he graces searching out the best fryer vat grease to spend hours filtering and then filling his vege tank to run his french fry smelling beat up, Ford Ranger. That is John. I could not spend enough time writing John's story or how he came into existence at Cycle Logic but he is the main dude and manages the Cycle Logic Quesnel location, and rocks it. A 24 hour racer, John has no issue with putting over 300k on his bike riding single track in less than 24 hours. And no, if John won the lottery he would not buy a new truck, really.

Brenda: Free spirited, self reliant, hiking, biking, skiing, camping, dancing shop "Women". I got in trouble when I called her a girl when we at Interbike in Las Vegas one year. Brenda is over qualified to be working at Cycle Logic and would really never probably have ended up working there but luckily for us she married John our resident granola eater and they are a match made in granola.
